James Larry Parker, Sr., age 79 of Winder, passed away on November 29, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born on June 25, 1942. Mr. Parker was a heavy duty truck parts sales representative for Crane Carrier Corporation. In his free time, he was an avid hunter and enjoyed working in the yard.
Mr. Parker was predeceased by his parents William Parker and Jessie Ruth Eberhardt Womack. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Brenda Guffin Parker; son, Jamey (Teresa) Parker; daughters: Valerie (Adam) Wall and Kimberly (Mike) Croft; three grandchildren: Candace Parker, AnaGrace Wall, and Ally Wall; two brothers: W.A. Womack and Ricky Womack; one sister: Lynn Keasler; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends of Mr. Parker will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2021 between 6:00 and 8:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home in Winder. A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Union Baptist Church Cemetery with the interment to follow.
