Grace Joann Harris

Mrs. Harris was a native of Barrow County. She retired as an office clerk with Kuppenheimer. In her spare time, she thoroughly enjoyed reading and working word puzzles. Mrs. Harris was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her parents, Mahilon McDaniel and Ora Hamby McDaniel; grandchildren, Nick Ryscamp and Russell McCrary.

Mrs. Harris is survived by her loving husband, Mr. James C. Harris of Winder; daughters, Carol (Terry) McCrary of Asheville, NC, and Diane (Jeff) Ryscamp of Hoschton; brother, Donald McDaniel of Toccoa; sister, Peggy Thompson of Winder; 6 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

The Funeral Service to honor and celebrate the life of Mrs. Harris will be held on 2:00 PM Sunday, March 4, 2018 in the Smith Memory Chapel with Revs. Darrell Gilmer and Jack Segars officiating. Burial will follow in Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

The family has respectfully requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of Mrs. Harris to the Alzheimer’s Association.
