Curt Wayne Plummer, 75 of Monroe, Georgia passed away Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center after a short illness. He was a proud native of Berlin, New Hampshire and 1967 graduate of Berlin High School. Curt served his country with pride in The US Navy aboard the USS Oklahoma City during Operation Frequent Wind at the close of The Vietnam War. After serving his country, Curt attended New Hampshire Vocational Technical School. He started his career drafting with Ingersoll Rand and spent his early career years as a mechanical engineer, eventually moving on to being a top sales representative with Johnson Controls, finally retiring from Mid-America Machining. He loved talking about his years in the plastics machinery industry and his love of sales. Curt loved most, his family, being outdoors, carving, woodworking and enjoying his pipe while sharing old Navy stories with his kids and grandchildren on the back porch.
Curt was preceded in death by his parents, O’Neil and Geraldine (Neal) Plummer; brother, Peter Plummer, baby sister, Kelly Plummer; and sister-in-law, Denise (Belanger) Plummer. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Linda (Moran) Plummer of Monroe; two sons: Garth Plummer and daughter in law Stephanie of Loganville, and Eric Plummer of Monroe; daughter, Becky Plummer of Monroe; sister, Cara (Plummer) McPherson and husband Bill of Streamwood, IL; five grandchildren: Joshua, Katie, Kylie, Bailie and AJ; as well as great granddaughter, Jade.
Services will be private with a celebration of life to be planned at a later date.
