Wanda enjoyed fixing the house, loved sewing and loved to plant roses. She loved working on chairs and loved her family very much. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 49 years, Danny Proctor, her son Kevin Ray Proctor and his wife Susan of Elm City, her daughter Dorothy Jo Combs and her husband Robert of Lucama, two brothers, PeeWee Griffin and his wife Debbie of Wilson and Donnie Griffin and his wife Becky of Texas, six grandchildren; Kathleen Flores, Logan Burt, Ginna Combs, Ashley Proctor, Danielle Proctor and Railee Proctor, a step daughter Tammy Jackson and her husband Gary of Georgia, 3 step grandchildren and 7 step great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, January 3, 2024 at 3 PM in the chapel of Thomas – Yelverton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM prior to the service at Thomas – Yelverton Funeral Home.
