Patricia Mae Randall

April 1, 1945 – April 8, 2018

Patricia Mae Peterson Randall, 73, of Bailey, NC, died Sunday, April 8, 2018, at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC. A memorial service will be conducted 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2018, at Bailey United Methodist Church, 12437 Green St., Bailey, NC, with a visitation to follow the service.

Patricia was born April 1, 1945, in Evanston, IL, to the late Roy and Mae Peterson. She lived in Warner, NH from 1979 to 2006 before moving to North Carolina. Patricia worked as a mental health worker for the New Hampshire Hospital in Concord, NH for 20 years. She was an animal lover and dog owner her entire life. During her life, Patricia’s pets included a 225-pound Mastiff, a blind Shar-Pei and a three-legged cat.

Surviving are Bobbie Humphrey, her loving partner of 21 years; three sons, Jeffery Heckel (Jodi) of Champaign, IL, Thomas Heckel of NH, and Bob Dumong (Jessica) of Sims, NC; one daughter, Laura Hansen (Richard) of Sanford, ME; five grandchildren, Gary Hansen, Elizabeth Hansen, Danny Dumong, Kendra Dumong, and Audrey Heckel; two step-grandchildren, Abby Bailey and Lexi Bailey; one brother, Roy Peterson (Trudy) of Davenport, FL.

Flowers are welcome and memorials may be directed to both the Wilson County Humane Society, P.O. Box 7064, Wilson, NC 27895 and Bailey United Methodist Church, 12437 Green St., Bailey, NC 27807.
