He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Carl Fulghum Jr. and Mary Frances Winstead Fulghum.
Lance is survived by his two brothers, Jesse “Rusty” Fulghum and wife Reba of Raleigh and Tracy Fulghum and wife Alison of Durham, one niece Meredith Fulghum Ruff and one nephew Bryan Fulghum.
Lance was a graduate of Fike High School and a North Carolina State University Alumni. He enjoyed running, cycling, golf and gardening in his free time. Lance worked for his lifelong friend Briggs Petway at Petway, Mills, & Pearson in Zebulon, where he focused on tax preparations.
A graveside service will he held at 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at Maplewood Cemetery, in Wilson, NC.
