Barbara was the long-time owner/operator of Ray’s Drive-In and was a member of Farmington Heights Church of God. She was a strong, independent woman, instilling values of perseverance, love, and kindness in her children, grandchildren and family. Barbara never met a stranger, making friends wherever she would go. Her biggest love was her family. Barbara was truly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Surviving are three sons, Tony Hall (Robin) of Wilson, Michael Hall (Sherry) of Wilson, and Joey Hall (Dawn) of Elm City; one daughter, Sherry Howell (Keith) of Elm City; nine grandchildren, Joshua Howell (Lindsay), Ashley McGee (Robby), Brittney Mercer (Ryan), Brooke Pope (Jonathan), Travis Hall (Sarah), Anderson Hall, Jensen Hall, Victoria Edge (Richard), and Benjamin Hall; ten great-grandchildren; and special extended family members, Celena Ratliff (Carl) and Jason Hall.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Edith Core Moore, and a sister, Charlotte Lynch.
Barbara’s family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to both the ICU and Respiratory Therapy staffs at Wilson Medical Center for the care given to their mother.
