William E Caudill

Mr. Caudill was born on November 12, 1931 in New Bern, NC and was the son of the late Vide A. and Nancy Kirkley Caudill. He was a retired U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of the Fleet Reserve and American Legion. He was a member of the Lions Club for 5o years and devoted to all their work and especially to the Lake Waccamaw Boys and Girls Home. He was a member of Gideons International and Temple Baptist Church.

He is survived by two sons, Christopher Caudill of Charlotte, Matthew Caudill of Wilmington; a granddaughter, Amanda Norwood of Charlotte, great granddaughter, Maydale Norwood of Charlotte; a sister, Dorothy Edwards of Wilmington and numerous nieces and nephews. His God Son John Caudill and wife Celeasa.

Funeral services will be held Saturday September 5th, 2015 at 11am at Temple Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Spangler officiating. Burial will follow at 2pm at the Galloway Cemetery, West in Supply with military honors.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Chapel of Temple Baptist Church,1801 Market Street, Wilmington.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to any of the above mentioned organizations that he was devoted to.

Bill will be greatly missed by all his many friends and family and his unselfishness towards others.
