Ruth Schreibman Stein

Ruth Schreibman Stein passed away peacefully on July 7, 2016 in her home in Wilmington, North Carolina. She was born March 18, 1927, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was the beloved wife of Leonard "Bucky" Stein, also from Philadelphia, who was with her at the time of her death.

The couple recently commemorated their 68th anniversary. Ruthy (born Rebecca Ada) was most proud of her three children, Elliott (of New York, New York), Howard (also of Wilmington), and Deborah (of Babylon, New York), her 5 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

She will be missed by them all, as well as by her sister, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Though her last years were difficult, she enjoyed a long and happy life, always surrounded by family and friends. Her favorite place to be in the world was anywhere her husband was.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 10, at 10:30am at B'nai Israel at 2601 Chestnut Street in Wilmington, NC. Burial will take place on Tuesday, July 12, at 11:00am at Haym Salomon Memorial Park, 200 Moores Road, Frazer, PA. 19355.
