Peggy Brooks Allen, age 73, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2017 after a lengthy illness.
Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, James "Jimmy" B. Allen, Jr.; four children: Jammie Stanley, Jennifer Allen, James B. Allen, III, and Floyd J. Allen (wife Marian O'Grady Allen); four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters; one brother and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Peggy's life will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Peggy's honor.
