Mae was born on February 13, 1930 in Longwood, NC, daughter of Leonard Spivey and Shellie McLamb Spivey.
Mae was a member of Pine Valley United Methodist Church, earned a Master’s Degree in Education and taught and was an Assistant Principal at Roland Grise Jr High School.
Mae is survived by her son, Andy High; Daughter-in-Law, Grayson-Leigh ReVille High; Grandchildren, Grayson Bryce High, Joseph Andrew High, Carter Leigh High, Bandon Strunk, Elaina Marie Keeter and Travis Anthony High; Niece, Jeanne Potter and husband Robert.
Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service, 3915 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Pine Valley United Methodist Church, 3788 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28403.
Interment to follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens, 306 Bradley Drive, Wilmington, NC 28409.
