Hazel Price Herring peacefully passed away to her heavenly home on Friday, November 17, 2023. Born on July 16, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Zeb Barrett and Amanda Jones Price. Hazel was predeceased by her husband, Paul Linwood Herring; daughter, Linda Herring Mintz; granddaughter, Holly D. Herring and siblings Christine P. Malpass, Fanny Price and an infant brother.
She is survived by her devoted son, Paul Richard Herring (Janie) and three granddaughters: Wendy Herring, Misty Herring (Kelli), Pamela Tomlinson (Mark) and seven great grandchildren.
She was a dedicated member of Cape Fear Presbyterian Church. Hazel was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed sewing for many in the Wilmington area. She was a very kind, caring person and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family would like to thank the staff at Spring Arbor of Wilmington, North Carolina for their loving care during the past nine years.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Oleander Memorial Gardens with Pastor May Craven officiating.
The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service.
