Clara Jeanette Parker

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, Odell Swicegood and Mildred Fredricks; her husband, Joe Parker and her brother, James “BoBo” Gore

She is survived by her stepmother, Louise Swicegood; seven children, Mike Schulz and wife Amy, Denise Gurganious and Husband Dean, Billy Ross and wife Jo, Howard (Butch)Beaudry and Cheri, Jeana Johnson and Husband Chris, Christy Parker Furr and Husband Steve and Scott Parker; One Aunt, Edna; one brother, Wayne Swicegood and wife Cindy; four sisters, JoAnn, Linda, Maxine and Debbie; fifteen Grandchildren and fifteen Great Grandchildren.

She was a lifelong member of Gibson Avenue Baptist Church. Affectionately known as “Road Runner” by her family, Jeanette loved to travel. She loved exploring nature, whether it was a summer’s day on the ocean or going to the mountains to see the fall leaves change color. Her favorite pastimes were camping, fishing and especially spending time with family. An avid lover of music, she liked to dance and play the piano. She will be missed by not only her family but also by her special cousin, Marie Moore and husband Bill and her best friends, WC and Ann Carter.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 12 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 12-2 pm prior to the service. Interment will follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens
