Carla Victoria Pitts

Carla Victoria “Vickie” Pitts, of Wilmington, NC, passed away on February 16th, 2023 at the age of 65. Vickie was born in Wilmington, NC, on October 19th, 1957 to Carlas and Marie Bryant. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Marvin Lee Pitts; her mother, Marie Bryant; her son Allen Pitts (Amanda); her daughter, Mandy Range (Geoffery); and her grandchildren, Enoch, Eliora, Esther and Caroline.

Vickie graduated from Hoggard Highschool in 1976 and later became a Licensed Practical Nurse. After marrying her husband Lee in 1984, they relocated to Newport News, VA, and had their two children, Allen and Mandy. From a young age, Allen and Mandy came to grow and learn what walking with our Lord Jesus, meant. Her example of love, service, and compassion toward others as a nurse and as a person who loves God, touched more lives than we know.

Vickie was invested in her local church as a member of the welcoming team. She always enjoyed finding great deals on the weekends at yard sales and had a blast with crafts.

Vickie was loved by her friends and family alike, she had an uncanny ability to make anyone feel like family and her dedication to family helped produce a lasting legacy of young men and women who love the Lord. Her laughter was contagious and her presence brought comfort. Vickie touched so many souls as a nurse, business owner, wife, mother, grandmother but most importantly, as a child of God. If you knew her, you knew she loved our Maker.

We will be celebrating her life with a grave side service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1115 Shipyard Boulevard, Wilmington, NC 28412, on Monday, February 20th at 1pm.
