Henry Garcia of Wilmington, CA passed away at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance,
CA on February 28, 2020. He was surrounded by his loving family and close friends.
He was a brave and beautiful soul until his last breath.
Henry was born in Long Beach, CA and resided in Wilmington, CA for 59 years. Henry was a
proud Longshoreman for the ILWU Local 13 for 36 years. He retired in 2017. He was a devoted Union man and served on many committees over his long career. Henry had a huge love for life, music, the Raiders, the Dodgers, travel and his family and friends.
Henry is survived by his wife of 47 years, Laura Garcia (Gardea). Daughter, Lisa Vital
(Tony Vital). Son, Rick Garcia (Cristianne Garcia). Sister Lydia Levinsky (Robert Levinsky). 5
Grandchildren; Cecilee, Nicholas, Anissa, Sofia and Olivia and 2 Great Grandchildren, Frank
and Henry.
Funeral services will take place as follows:
Rosary: Mary Star of the Sea Church in San Pedro
Thursday, March 12th, 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Mass: Mary Star of the Sea Church in San Pedro
Friday, March 13th, 10:30 a.m.
Burial immediately following at
All Souls Cemetery
4400 Cherry Ave., Long Beach
