Robert Allan Holub

Robert Allan Holub, 71, of Morton Grove. Beloved father of Stephanie (Matthew) Sawin and Jessica (Justin) Kelley; proud Grampa Bob of Madeline, Eloise, Avery, Quinn and Charlotte; caring brother of Richard Spiegel; fond uncle of Ashley Tallman and Rachel Miller; loving son of the late Edward and Dorothy Holub. Mr. Holub is also survived by the mother of his children, Shelley Holub.

Mr. Holub earned his undergraduate degree, master’s degree, and went on to earn a PhD in pharmacy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He then had a long and profoundly rewarding career at the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center serving those who served us.

In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family, caring for animals, and traveling.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Waldheim Cemetery, 1400 Des Plaines Avenue, Gate 47, Forest Park, Illinois. Shiva will be held at the home of Stephanie and Matthew Sawin, 295 East Schiller Street, Elmhurst, Illinois 60126 immediately following burial until 7:00 p.m.
