Many years ago when my Mom and Dad were active with Great Lakes on a daily basis I used to pop in and say hi to my Dad and Mom, and I always stopped and said hello to Dan and Karen as they were an integral part of our families lives, Birthdays, outings and general Lab functions... through many years i've seen Karen at GLO and always found a great person with a kind word for everyone.its been many years since ive seen Karen but She will be greatly missed by everyone...My condolences to the family.

Rest in peace sweet Karen. We will always remember your kindness and warm smile. You are an angel indeed.

Dear Michelle and Andrew,
I worked with, and was friends with, your mom for over 20 years at Dodge Elementary. She was the first smiling face I would see every, very early, morning as I headed off to 3rd grade! She has a special place in my heart and I'm greatly saddened by her passing. My prayers are with you and your family. I moved to Florida, which is why you didn't see me in person.

Dear family of Karen:  My heart is very heavy as I post this.  My name is Christine and I hired Karen at the office of Dr. Carl Gugino. Our office was expanding and we needed a nice girl to answer the phone and check patients in.  Karen was perfect for the job.  She was still Karen Kimmel and was planning her wedding.  Her fiancee was Dan Miller who worked at the auto dealer down the street.  We helped her plan herd wedding, met the groom and enjoyed the wedding photos.  Soon she was pregnant, and we watched her grow in front of us.  She had her baby, but did not return to work in our office.  However, Dan, the handsome boyfriend, started to work for our lab.  Great Lakes Ortho Lab became a good fit for Dan.  He became good friends with the owner, Peter Breads. Staying in the dental profession I stayed in contact with Dr. Gugino, Peter Breads, and of course Dan. On every occasion that I talked to Dan, we talked about Karen.  Her home, her babies, and her various jobs.  The job I remember most was her working for "Two Guys." She was always a joy at the office.  I went to college while working for Dr. Gugino and she always covered me and my mistakes.  She discretely gave me phone messages from my boyfriend and was always there for me.  I loved her.  Our paths crossed briefly (2 years!) but she will always be in my heart.  She was a treasure.  I will pray for her.

Michelle Ann Andrew, I am so sorry to hear about your mom.  We had many laughs the 6 years I sat next to her in the Dodge office.  You are I my thoughts and prayers.

Michelle and Andrew I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother was such a special friend to me and always took care of me at work . May your memories carry you through this difficult time.

I went to high school with Karen. We were in the same driver ed. car. She was liked by everyone. I'm sorry that I didn't continue to know her as we matured. I'm very sorry to hear of her passing. Blessings and comfort to you.

We had "Kenmore" roots in common and had many a good laugh and memory of our childhood and then Andrew buying a home possibly right around the corner from where I grew up. So sorry to hear the sad news. Spoke with Karen a few weeks ago and we talked about some of the great cruises we had taken together. After more than 45years of friendship as with Dan  they are greatly missed. Sincere condolences Michelle and Andrew and all the Family.
