John P. McTigue Sr.

Dearest father of Kelly Zajac, Jennifer (Keith) Schleicher, and John (Margaret Cardina) McTigue Jr. Loving grandfather of Ethan and Hannah Zajac, and Megan, Sara, and Andrew Schleicher. Son of the late Norman and Patricia (née Pierce) McTigue. Brother of the late Rev. Norman, Mary Pat (the late Donald) Garrett, James (late Nancy), the late Robert (Beverly), and the late Josita Battaglia. Brother-in-law of James (Debra) Battaglia. Former husband of Catherine McTigue. John served in the United States Marine Corps as a Corporal. John had a distinguished career with AAA, starting as the manager of an office in Houston, Texas, and later becoming the Vice President of Marketing in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He achieved a significant milestone by selling the largest AAA membership in company history—6,000 memberships to a single company. After his time at AAA, John became a partner at The Copy Store in downtown Buffalo, NY, alongside his twin brother, James. Twins open a duplication store… cue the marketing campaign! In his retirement, John enjoyed winning poker games, golfing on courses across the United States and beyond, and spending quality time with his family - especially his grandchildren. He was well loved and will be deeply missed.

Gathering hours for friends and family are from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM this Friday, June 7, at Perna, Dengler, Roberts Funeral Home, 1671 Maple Road, Williamsville.
