David Rogerson

Aris David Rogerson, 79, died Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at his home. The funeral service will be held Friday at 2:30 PM at the Williamston Church of Christ with Archie Gilmer officiating; burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.

David was born on July 21, 1934 in Martin County, son of the late Simon and Leonia Wynn Rogerson. He was retired from the Police Department with the Town of Williamston where he was employed as a Policeman for 30 years. He was a faithful member of the Williamston Church of Christ where he loved his church family.

On June 25, 1956 he married Jane Lee Rogerson who survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are a daughter Sandy Downs of Williamston, son David Alan Rogerson and wife Denise of Tarboro, grandchildren Michael Downs, Brandon Downs, Morgan Rogerson, And Erin Rogerson, great grandchild Matthew Downs.

David was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Naomi Fulford, and a brother J. S. Rogerson.

The family will receive friends Friday at the church from 1-2:30 PM and other times at the residence 115 Weaver Drive.
