Mary was born November 15, 1949 in Maywood, IL, the daughter of John H Moisan and Helen Moisan. A lifelong resident of suburban Chicago, she relocated in 2020 to live with her son and his family at his Army duty station of Fort Drum, NY. Following Jonathan’s retirement from the Army, the family relocated to Howell, MI in 2022.
Mary enjoyed reading, spending time with her family, playing Uno with her grandkids, thinking up nifty crafting ideas for her son and daughter in law, and passing on some of her well earned wisdom to all of us; she also enjoyed Hawaii 5-0 (which is now a family tradition, as might be Blue Bloods and the occasional Hallmark movie, because we love Grandma).
Mary was a loving grandmother to her grandchildren and wonderful mother to her son and daughter in law, a constant sister to her siblings, a friend who was meaningful to many, and a source of strength and faith for us all.
She is survived by her son Jonathan (Kelli) and grandchildren Draven, Breana, and McKensie, of Howell, MI; Brother Don (Julie) Moisan; Sister Pat (Tom) Klaput,; Sister Barb (Joe) Comiskey; Brother Joey Moisan, as well as 2 Nieces and 2 Nephews,4 Great-nieces and 3 Great-nephews, and many dearly loved cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents John (1982) and Helen (3-14-24), and her brother in law Tom Klaput (8-12-24).
Arrangements for a celebration of life and memorial will be forthcoming at a later date and time.
We will miss Mary terribly, but will always continue her legacy of love, strength, and determination.
