Katherine Marie Albadri, 67, of Sumner, Michigan, passed away on November 6, 2024. Born on August 9, 1957, in Lansing, Michigan, she was a devoted caregiver known for her strength and compassion.
Katherine graduated from Harry Hill High School in 1975 and went on to further her education at Lansing Community College and Ross Medical School. She began her career at USPS, eventually transitioning to healthcare after graduating from medical assistant school. Katherine spent many fulfilling years at Alma Family Practice, where her caring nature deeply impacted her patients and colleagues.
Katherine's hobbies included crafting, cooking, sewing, reading, and antiquing. Activities she loved sharing with her late husband, Ahmed Albadri. Her life was a testament to her love for her family and her community.
She is survived by her sons, Shane, Josh, and Damian Brennan; her eleven grandchildren, Isabella, Joshua Jr., Taylor, Jenna, Brieonna, Trendon, Tyler, Ava, Landon, Cora, and Arianna; and her sisters, Beth, Cindy, Nancy, and brother-in-law Chris.. Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Ahmed Albadri, and her parents, Maggie (Buxton) Fouty and Marvin Fouty.
Katherine's legacy will be cherished by all who knew her, as she leaves behind a family that adored her and a community that respected her deeply. Her warmth and kindness will be missed but never forgotten.
Ahmed Hassan Albadri, 54, of Sumner, MI, passed away on November 6, 2024. Born on February 15, 1970, Ahmed was known for his friendly demeanor, often described as a friend to everyone he met.
Ahmed took great joy in a variety of hobbies. He was an avid sports fan, passionately supporting Michigan State University, the Detroit Lions, and the Detroit Pistons. His love for sports extended to playing soccer and collecting sports memorabilia. Ahmed also had a knack for mechanics and home improvement, dedicating many hours to renovating and fixing things around the house. Additionally, he enjoyed playing computer games and was a frequent visitor at estate sales, always on the lookout for unique finds.
Educated in Iraq through the fourth grade, Ahmed faced many challenges but always approached life with determination and a positive outlook.
Ahmed was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by his family. He is survived by his mother, Alya Albadri; his stepsons, Shane, Josh, and Damian Brennan; his brothers, Hamdan, Mohammad, Reith, Haider, Saad, Abbas, and Dywan; and his sisters, Hamdiah, Falha, Saada, Wajdah, Sajda, Klass, and Wdyan. Ahmed was a cherished grandfather to Cora, Ava, Josh Jr., Isabella, Brieonna, Taylor, Trenden, Tyler, Landon, and Arianna Brennan.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Katherine Albadri, and his father, Hassan Albadri.
Ahmed's legacy of kindness, enthusiasm for life, and the joy he brought to his hobbies and relationships will be remembered by all who knew him.
