Joanna Mary O'Brien

Joanna Mary O’Brien, 81, of Williamston, MI, died on Friday, 2/11/2022, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Detroit, MI, on 10/10/1940 to Robert and Helen (O’Brien) Venn. She graduated from Our Lady of Mercy High School in 1958, and married Joseph O’Brien on 10/19/1963. She worked at Michigan Bell and then United Airlines, retiring in 1996 after 30 years of service. Joanna was known as a loving and vibrant mother, daughter, wife, sister, grandmother and friend, who offered a warm welcome and loved to chat with anyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Sean Michael (age 3), husband, and sister Rosemary. She is survived by her brother Tom and his wife Meg, her son Corey, his wife, Kimberly and her four grandchildren, Lily, Sean, Aidan and Zakaria.

There will be a funeral service at Faith Lutheran Church, Okemos, MI on Thursday, 2/17/2022 at 6:30 PM where masks and physical distancing will be required. There will not be a reception at this time. The service will also be live-streamed at: https://www.facebook.com/faithlutheranokemos/
