Gerald retired from Michigan State University after 38 years as an Upholsterer. He was the last MSU Upholsterer they had as they closed the shop after his retirement. Jerry also did upholstery work from his home. He was a lifelong farmer. Jerry was an avid hockey and football fan, and was a women’s college softball enthusiast. He held season tickets for MSU Hockey and Football. Really he loved most sports. Jerry enjoyed the time he spent running and working the concession stands at MSU Football and Basketball games.
He is survived by his son, Rod (Robbi) Imhoff of Williamston, MI; daughter, Sandy (Victor) Portincaso of Geneva, IL; daughter-in-law, Barb Imhoff of Williamston, MI; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul (Gerri Lou) Imhoff of Haslett, MI; sisters, Katherine Banning of Buena Vista, CO and Patricia Kinney of Albuquerque, NM; sister-in-law, June Imhoff of Haslett, MI. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Marian Imhoff; second wife, Maxine Lovas; son, Randy Imhoff, brother, Richard Imhoff, brothers-in-law, Larry Banning and Thomas Kinney.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 6-8 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Williamston Chapel. A Private Family Service will be held with interment at Summit Cemetery.
