Ernest R. Oesterle (Rob) Webberville, MI Born on May 31st, 1964 in Lansing, MI the son of Dan and Velma Oesterle; passed away on November 24, 2021 in Howell, MI, at the age of 57. Rob was a Thai Summit America Corporation employee and worked as a hi-low driver. He was an active member of the Leroy Township Firefighter Association and a volunteer firefighter with the Northeast Ingham Emergency Service Authority.
Rob was devoted to helping others, whether as a firefighter, father, son, brother, nephew, or friend. His whole life was spent in service to others. He was known for his friendly, and outgoing personality and could carry on a conversation with just about anyone. His sister nicknamed him “Mr. Williamston”, as he seemed to know everyone. He cherished his son and everything that had to do with being part of his Leroy Fire Department family.
He is preceded in death by his mother Velma Dell Oesterle and his best friend Ron Fettes. He is survived by his son, Kyle D. Oesterle, father Daniel E. Oesterle, sister Deborah K. (David) Brehm, aunts Lucretia Hildabridle, Mary (Jerry) Smith, Julie Smith and numerous brothers and sisters from his Leroy Township Fire Department family.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 835 High Street, Williamston. Visitation will be held at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Williamston Chapel from 2-4 and 6-8pm on Wednesday, and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Leroy Township Firefighters Association in honor of Rob Oesterle.
