Stephen Bruce Trotter

Stephen “Bruce” Trotter, 69, of Williamsburg, passed away February 13, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hunter and Marjorie Trotter and son, Kenneth Pruitt. A retired officer of the U.S. Army, Bruce served his country for 32 years and received multiple decorations. He enjoyed running, traveling and spending time with family. He is survived by his wife, Sue; son Bobby Pruitt (Diana); daughter Donna Pruitt; granddaughters Stephanie and Jennifer Pruitt; brother Scott Trotter and sisters Leigh Trotter and Margot Davis. Visitation will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd, Williamsburg at 12-2pm on Saturday, February 27th. The service will immediately follow in the Chapel at 2pm. A Reception will follow after the service. Internment at Arlington National Cemetery will be at a later date. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Cancer Society or preferred Veterans Organization of choice.
