Robert Carlton Wiltshire

Robert C. Wiltshire, of Williamsburg, VA passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the age of 85. He graduated from Virginia Tech and served in the Army during the Korean conflict. He was a civil engineer employed by Newport News Shipyard for eighteen years, then Alabama Power. After retirement, Bob loved working in his son’s business, Extra Mile Landscapes. He was an Elder Emeritus of Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church. He loved gardening and was a knife collector. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Shirley D. Wiltshire; his son, Robert D Wiltshire and his wife, Teresa M. Wiltshire of Williamsburg; sister, Maxine Walker of Richmond, VA; grandchildren, Tyler, Megan and Mathew; nieces and nephews, Valerie, Robin, Ronnie, Stuart (Casey), and Mary Beth. A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 16th from 4-6pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, VA. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 17th at 2pm at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1677 Jamestown Road, Williamsburg, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice House of Williamsburg, 4445 Powhatan Parkway, Williamsburg, VA 23188.
