Jane Johnston Eggleston

Jane Johnston Eggleston, age 85, of Williamsburg, Va. died September 24, 2022. She was born January 23, 1937 in Middlesex, Va. She worked as a secretary in the educational building at Eastern State hospital for over 20 years. After retirement she devoted much of her time to her beloved Grace Baptist Church where she served as Sunday school teacher, church secretary, many different committees but most of all the choir where she sang then became choir director.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Avery Johnston and Nellie Sadler, her brothers Vernon, Elwood, Herbert and Freeman (Maxine) Johnston and one sister Effie Payne (Randolph).

She is survived by her Son and Daughter in law Jeffrey and Jennifer Eggleston of Newport News, sister in law Frances Johnston of Middlesex and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 22, 2022, 12:00pm at Grace Baptist Church in Williamsburg, Va.
