Dear sweet Heather, Michael and Matt, you were my Counseling "babies" at Bruton and I adored you just as  I adored your mom.  She loved you so much and was ever present to see how you were doing, if there were problems she should know about (there never were!), an on hands mom without being a "helicopter" mom.  She would, unannounced, drop by my counseling office with that wide smile and good nature, always first asking how I was, then asking about you.   There was never a day she imposed, just a good momma making sure her kids were behaving, getting decent grades, and not causing trouble!  I am so sorry I missed the service, I would have loved to have seen you again to give you hugs.   Please know I'm thinking of you.. xoxo

I met her in the few times I'd hang out with her son Matt back in highschool. She was always a vibrant and sweet person. My love and condolences to her family and friends. 

She was always a warm and welcoming woman. She will be truly missed.

Deby and I became friends  in 1st grade in Mathews.  We remained friends after her move to Germany & afterwards.   I still have pictures she sent from when she lived there.   We use to visit and play at her grandmothers on Gwynns Island.  She signed my autograph book in 1966.  We even had a few double dates when we were teen agers.  I remember Louise & Harold very well.  Even though we lost touch I wanted you to know how sorry I am about her passing.   You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Deby has been a lifetime friend. One that you can always count on to be the same throughout the years, so sweet and genuine.  She was always encouraging to others, an optimistic person, always smiling.   She loved Jesus and shared that often with others.  Most of our shared past was through high school when our lives then headed into different directions. My favorite memories of her were in church where we grew up learning about the Lord. She was such a fun person. She loved her family well. She will surely be missed. My prayers are with her family. 

In and out, in and out… Debys door was always open to us, especially in the summer. She was my second mom and Heather a sister. She was always there for us, got me to church and welcomed me as part of her family. She is already greatly missed but I’ll take comfort in knowing she is at peace and with her Father. All my love and prayers to her family.
