Barbara Marie Richmond

Barbara Marie Richmond, age 60, of Lanexa, Virginia passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Melvin Richmond, and mother, Barbara Alexander. Barbara attended Belpre High School in West Virginia, where she was the basketball player of the year. She worked as a team lead for Walmart, and was a former decoy painter. She also loved the beach and spending time with her family. Barbara is survived by her son Jarrod Dolak; daughter, Jennifer Chapman (Maurice) and Maria Richmond; grandchildren, Marcel, Connor, JayJay, Leilani, and JR; sisters, Michelle Layne, Annie Chapman, and Martha Daily; brothers, Robert Nesselroad and Kenny Holbert; nephew, David Wilson; as well as a host of friends. A visitation for Barbara will be held Monday, April 29, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, Virginia 23188, where a service will also take place on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at 12:00 PM, and burial at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 809 South Henry Street, Williamsburg, Virginia. Those who wish to join the family for a meal, may do so following the service at their own expense at Sal’s By Victor, 1242 Richmond Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23188.
