Jerry E. Wiers

Jerry E. Wiers (51) of Willard died Saturday, November 22, 2014. He was born December 14, 1962 in Willard to the late Eddy M. and Janet L. (VanZoest) Wiers. Jerry was a graduate of Willard High School, Class of 1981 and a graduate of Calvin College with 2 degrees and was the CFO of Wiers Farm and a partner in Dutch Maid Logistics. He was a member of the Willard Christian Reformed Church where he served on the church council and the Celeryville Christian School Board and the Willard Golf Club where he enjoyed golfing, was an avid turkey hunter and reader. Jerry especially enjoyed following his kids in all their activities.

Jerry is survived by his wife Vicki J. (Vaandrager) Wiers, 2 sons: Luke and Blake Wiers and 2 daughters: Claire and Lydia Wiers, all at home. Brother: Ben (Jill) Wiers of Willard, 3 sisters: Char (Dirk) Bulthuis of Grand Rapids, MI, Kristi (Bruce) Vaandrager of Grand Rapids and Kendra (Jonathan) Elgersma of Zeeland, MI, In-law parents: Vernon and Carolyn Vaandrager of Grand Rapids and brother-in-law: Chris Vaandrager of Grand Rapids along with 13 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call Tuesday, November 25 from 4-7 P.M. at the Willard Christian Reformed Church. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 26, 2014. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, New Haven. Memorial contributions may be made to the Timothy Fund of the Celeryville Christian School through the funeral home. The Staff of the Lindsey-Kocher Funeral Service, 323 Myrtle Ave, Willard is in care of the funeral arrangements.
