Our beloved Logan James Thompson, born May 25th 1995, left us to be with our Lord, Sunday September 25th, 2016. A life cut short too soon, he left a wake of loved ones behind. He is survived by his loving mother and father, Dean and Lisa Thompson, his sister Danni and her husband Brandon Haller, grandparents Terry and Sheila Poe and Ken and Elaine Bahr and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and devoted friends, teammates, fellow volunteer firefighters. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Marge Bahr.
Logan attended Almira Coulee Hartline schools for his K-12 education. He was an active student, participating in everything from school plays to playing center for the ACH Warriors basketball team.
He was a driven and talented athlete, helping lead his team to the State 2B Basketball Championship in 2012.
A warm smile and quick laugh, he was loved by his teammates and classmates. He was a fiercely loyal and devoted friend, always there to help, without hesitation.
A natural athlete, Logan loved snowmobiling, snowboarding and water sports. He was a hunting and shooting enthusiast. He lived life with enthusiasm.
Logan, like his father, served as a volunteer firefighter with Grant County Fire District 6 in Hartline. He was immensely kind and caring; he devoted himself to serving his community. He was beloved and respected by his fellow fire fighters as someone who always answered the call.
He was attending the John Deere Technical Program at Walla Walla Community College, full of promise and excited about his future.
He loved his family, above all else. He farmed with his grandfather, father and cousin continuing a family legacy of hard work. He was devoted to his loved ones and his family adored him. Our family mourns the loss of our beloved son, grandson, brother, cousin, nephew. We are joined in our grief by all those that loved Logan.
