William A. Williams

79, retired Southwestern Bell combinationman for 30 years, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 9, 2016. He was born in Hamilton, KS to Gladys and Bertram Williams. Bill graduated from Wichita North High School in the class of 1954. He married the love of his life, Marilyn E. Stubbs in 1955. Bill was a 50 year member of Unity Masonic #273 Lodge. He was preceded in death by parents, his sister Bonnie and brother Larry. He is survived by his wife, his daughters, Kathy (Duane) Summers, Julie Williams, and Jan (Dennis) Nelson, his grandchildren, Clint (Melanie) Summers, Mitch (Emily) Summers, Vance Summers and Grant Summers and his fiancé Amy McNeal, Madyson Williams, Eric Nelson, Evan Nelson, Katie Nelson, Jenny Nelson, Olivia Nelson, Carter Nelson and 7 great-grandchildren, brother, Gene Williams, brother-in-law Roger (Carolyn) Stubbs, sister-in-law Carolyn Walz and several nieces and nephews. Bill enjoyed spending time with his family and his dog Tiger most of all. He also enjoyed boating, golfing and flying remote control airplanes. Family and friends may pay their respects to Bill Fri. from 1-7 p.m. and funeral service will be at Resthaven Mortuary at 3:00 pm Saturday, March 12, 2016. Memorials may be made to Aldersgate Methodist Church and the Kansas Humane Society.
