Thomas David Keese

Keese, Thomas David, 53, of Valley Center, Kansas passed away on Sun. Jan. 8, 2017 at home in Valley Center. Thomas was born the son of Travis and Betty (Holt) Keese on Dec. 31, 1963 in Dallas, TX. Thomas and Daphne were united in marriage on Aug. 3, 1991 in Springfield, MO. Together they celebrated 25 years of marriage. Thomas had a bachelor’s degree from Missouri State University in Computer Information Systems. He worked with Cargill Meat Solutions in Wichita for 12 years as a Business Analyst before having to go on disability in 2004 due to advanced MS. Thomas was a loving husband, father and friend. He was passionate about serving the Lord and used his situation to glorify God. Thomas and Daphne homeschooled their two children and he played a major part in advancing his children’s education and instilling in them a love for the Lord. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Survivors include his loving wife, Daphne Keese of Valley Center, KS, children, Joshua Keese and Jacob Keese, parents, Travis and Betty Keese of Kerrville, TX, sisters, Becky (Glenn) Smith San Antonio, TX, Kathy (Stan) Meyr of Corpus Christi, TX, niece, Emily Meyr, nephews, Matthew Meyr and Tyler Meyr all of Corpus Christi. Visitation will be held 4 to 6pm on Wed. Jan. 11, 2017. Funeral services will be 3:30pm on Thurs. Jan. 12, 2017 both at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita. Graveside services will be 3pm on Sun. Jan. 15, 2017 at Oaklawn Cemetery, Somerville, TX.
