Shirley attended Wichita Public Schools, where she was a 1972 graduate of Wichita Southeast High School.
Shirley was an activity aide in numerous nursing homes since 1978. She was currently working for KETCH, where she enjoyed engaging with her fellow workers. During her free time, she enjoyed crafting, playing a variety of board games, attending and giving parties, but most importantly spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Arthur and Esther Socha.
She is survived by: her sister, Diane (Eric) Blick; her brother, Wayne (Marie) Socha; along with her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and her many friends.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM on Friday, December 20, 2024, with the Funeral Service following at 10:00 AM, both at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, the Garden of the Lord's Prayer, Wichita.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: KETCH, 1006 East Waterman Street, Wichita, Kansas 67211.
