Sean Michael Kleven was born on December 26, 1969 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. to Robert S. and Marylou (Francis) Kleven. He was the eldest of four brothers.
His family moved to Mackinac Island, Michigan when he was a year and a half old. They moved to Wichita when he was 8 years old in 1978. He attended Wichita South High School and later Am Tech Auto Body School.
On April 4, 1993, Sean was united in marriage to Kim Little in his Aunt and Uncle’s backyard in the country. This union was blessed with a daughter Shelby.
Sean worked for Sear’s as a Manager of the Automotive/Tool Department. He also served as their training coordinator for new employees. He later worked at Lowe’s and Harbor Freight until failing health forced him to retire in 2003.
In his spare time, Sean enjoyed playing the guitar, working on cars and riding motorcycles. In his early years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He played for several bands in the Wichita area. He also had a special talent at art, in both drawing and painting. His greatest love was the time spent with his family and especially his grandchildren.
His father Robert S. Kleven proceeds him in death.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother Marylou Pruitt and her husband LeRoy of Wichita, his daughter Shelby Kleven and her fiancée Tyrell Lewis of Woodbury, MN, step-daughter Kelsi Lathan of Wichita, his brothers Robert Kleven and his wife Kimberly Altier of Tulsa, OK, Joseph Kleven and his wife Jennifer of Wichita, and Justin Kleven of Minneapolis, MN. He is survived by his loving grandchildren Marcel Lewis and Leilani Lewis. Sean is also survived by 3 nephews Teyvan Kleven, Kalon Kleven, and Dylan Kleven and one niece Amber Kleven. He is also survived by his very caring Aunt Teresa and Uncle Tom Bennett and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his girl friend Regina Ferry-Marler, and many, many wonderful friends. He will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved him.
