Ruth Marie Decker

She attended Hutchinson High School where she grew up. Ruth married F.J. Jim Decker when she was 16 and had lived in Wichita for nearly 70 years. She was a member of Eastern Star Chapter 237 of Valley Center, Kansas and was honored with the title of TOP KOP with the Tops club. She worked at Cessna Wallace plant in Wichita for 33 years before her retiring. She was an avid quilter. She spent most of her adult years traveling to great and foreign Places. She was an awesome Wife, Mom, Sister, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She was a gentle soul and loved by all.

She was preceded in death by her husband F.J. Jim Decker and her brother Lonny Mendenhall.

Those surviving include her children: Jimmy and Carol Decker of Wichita, Mike and Grace Decker of Wichita, Dr. Larry and Laura Decker of Mt. Pleasant; her grandchildren: Chris Decker, Leighann Decker, Misty Decker and many grandchildren and great grandchildren

Also surviving her is her Sister Joan Cheney, and her sister in law and good friend Linda Mendenhall.

A Visitation with family present will be held for Ruth Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209, followed by a Funeral Service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Ruth's honor to The Shriners Hospitals For Children.
