Rosella Elizabeth Parke

Rosella E Parke., 88 Born October 17, 1925 in Wanette, OK passed away July 26, 2014 at her daughter’s home in Lancaster, CA. Rosella moved to Wichita in 1935 with her family. She married Robert F. Parke in 1944. Bob worked for the Boeing Company. They raised their family in Wichita, with a brief period of residence in Seattle, WA. Prior to being a homemaker Rosella was a “Rosie the Riveter”, and worked for Boeing during WWII. Rosella had a tremendous love of music and worked for the “Record Shop” and Melody Records during the 40’s and early 50’s. Rosella was an extremely creative woman with artistic talent. She was known for her great sense of humor. She and Bob always had a love of automobiles. Rosella loved road trips. Bob was the love of Rosella’s life. Losing him in 1995 created a tremendous void. In her words, “I was fortunate to have a man like Bob, such a wonderful husband and father.” Rosella is survived by her daughters Caryle and Susan, grandchildren, Kristopher and Jaime, great grandchildren, Tayte, Presley and Addison. Visitation 1-7p.m. Friday, August 1, 2014. Funeral Services 1 p.m. Saturday all at Hillside Funeral Home East, 935 N. Hillside Wichita. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
