I remember when us kids dad always knew how make simple things like a crate with the lid and make it fun. Dad would let us play in the crates and he would spin us around and we would think it was the greatest thing. Paul was the guy that when you needed something he would do whatever he can to help you out, he always had your back even though it may not seem like it. I'm glad I got to know my dad in the short time we had.

I have typed and retyped this message a hundred times, it's funny that I don't know the words. Paul you are so loved and missed. You ALWAYS had to share a story or two. Paul was my sister's long time boyfriend.  He was such a kind soul. Whenever you needed help he was there. Would not let anyone go with out if he could help  He always had a story to tell.  My daughter absolutely loved Paul.she loved keeping him on his toes. They loved to pick on each other.. I'ma miss his smart mouth his I know it all an been threw it all. If you told a story he had one to match. He loved taking care of his loved one an friends.  Definitely going to just miss him being around.  Definitely gone way to soon Paul.

I was trying to think of one of my favorite memories to capture here and while scrolling through the infamous TikTok, I saw a video that unlocked a memory for me. As a kid (I’m far left), my dad enjoyed frequent stops to the gas station for smokes and a soda, and I always knew he’d come out with some bug juice for all of us and often followed with picking out a movie from his burned discs from sites he probably shouldn’t have access to (haha!). 
He was always adventurous. There was a time  when I was in fifth grade, we lived by a baseball field. I remember jumping the fences with him just to run the field and head home, cus why not release some energy in such a fun way?! 
We was an ornery fella, around the age of thirteen I got into watching scary movies, and my cousin and I were watching one in his bed and him and his partner at the time (my brothers mom, Brenda) went out for a smoke, they decided it would be fun to spook us while watching the show and knocked on the window. We laughed for such a long time.

Oh Paulie...gone way too soon. Rest in peace in the arms of our Lord. Holding Joy and the rest of your family in my heart and praying for remembrance of happier times and blessed healing.

It was my 4th grade wax museum presentation, I was so excited that dad came and supported me. And I wanted to do my research over a soccer player , there was probably a lot of reasons why, but one sticks to me. My Dad would tell me stories of how good he was at soccer and a bunch of good memories he had. I will forever remember and cherish those memories. Love ya 3

I remember "Pauly", my nephew,  as a young child and am so sorry to hear how he died.     Due to divorces and family issues we lost contact when he was very young, but he was never forgotten.  Paul Adam Dechand was his birth name.

I don't know what to say Paul gave me the greatest gift of all when he gave me our son Austin I still can't believe your gone . he will be missed by many with his quick wit and laughter R.I.P. Paul  aka Mr know it all

Paul will be missed. I have known him for 27 years. We laughed we danced and were friends. I would ask the Lord to wrap his loving arms around everyone who loved Paul in this lifetime and give them sweet peace and comfort at this time.

I met Paul nearly two years ago and even then I was struck by his work ethic, resilience, and sense of humor. He's been a constant in my time working at Pepsi, always being ready with a witty remark or a cheesy grin. In the past year, I've worked with him more closely than before, first as a fellow lead, and then as a certifier. I've gotten to know Paul fairly well in that time and always knew I could rely on him to get the job done and see things through. Paul, I'm proud to have considered you my friend, and you are, and will continue to be, sorely missed. My thoughts are with you, and your family and loved ones, as we mourn your loss and pray for justice to find the one responsible. Keep cheesing up there, Paul, we'll meet again one day.

I had the honor of meeting Piepmeier about two months ago. The majority of the team goes by their last name, it wasn’t until a few weeks in that found out his first name was Paul. I  worked with him at Pepsi and while I didn’t know him for long, I did enjoy the time I had with him. Both getting to work early we’d sit outside and just joke around and have fun. He was funny and always there to lend a hand if you needed it. I’m thankful I got the chance to meet him. He’s greatly missed by the entire team at Pepsi. His absence is definitely noticed by everyone. He was loved by so many people and will be greatly missed. I pray he gets the justice he deserves. My thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family. May he rest in peace.
