Paul Adam Piepmeier, 49, passed away on September 30, 2023. He was born May 18, 1974, in Rockford, Illinois to Paul Joseph and Joy Marie (Krivjansky) Dechand. Joy divorced Paul and later married Rodney Dean Piepmeier who then adopted Paul in 1986 when Paul was 12 years old.
Paul spent his years growing up in Topeka and St. John, Kansas. Paul attended Topeka West High School. Paul moved around a bit as a young adult and found his home to be in in Wichita, KS. In 2011 he entered college at Wichita Technical Institute to earn an associate degree in IT Security. Paul graduated in December of 2013.
At the time of Paul’s death, he was working at PepsiCo, in Wichita KS.
Paul was preceded in death by his biological father, Paul Joseph Dechand and his Grandparents Ralph and Adell Dechand of Topeka, KS. He was also preceded in death by his maternal grand farther, John Rajkovich, of East Chicago, Indiana, his Grandmother Margaret Krivjansky of Topeka, KS and his great grandparents Davorin & Mildred Duimich of East Chicago, Indiana and his adoptive father Rodney Dean Piepmeier and his grandmother Nancy Piepmeier of Topeka, KS and Great Grandparents Leland and Mary Richardson of St. John, KS.
Paul is survived by his mother; Joy Piepmeier Michaelson (Joe Michaelson) of Sparks, NV; his brother, Eric Piepmeier (Katelynn Piepmeier) of Sparks, NV. His uncle, David Krivjansky of Parkville, MD; his Aunt Tami Carroll (Roy Carroll) Montgomery, TX; Great Aunts, Lynn Duimich, Whiting, IN and Cynthia Cave (Bruce Cave) of Schereville, IN. Paul’s children Shailiegh Piepmeier (Tate Holley) of Topeka, KS, Austin Lillibridge of Park City, KS, Sara Piepmeier of Arnold, KS, Kameron Piepmeier of Olathe, KS, and Javis (JP) Piepmeier or Olathe, KS; cousins located around the United States as well as his significant other Misty Burns of Wichita, KS and many other loving relatives and friends.
Paul loved cooking, baking and BBQing and was quite proud of his tasty creations.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 2:00PM - 3:00PM, at the Advanced Learning Library, 711 West 2nd Street North, Conference Room B, Wichita, KS 67203.
