Patricia P. Carver-Mercer

Patricia P. Carver-Mercer, 72, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022 at her home in Wichita. Patricia was born the daughter of Raymond and Grace Carver on June 21, 1949 in Evening Shade, AR. She graduated from Southeast High School in 1967. She married Bill Byers together they had two daughters Rachelle and Leah. She graduated from Nursing School at St. Mary's of the Plains in Dodge City, KS and received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Wichita State in 1980. Patricia and David Mercer were married on September 26, 1987 in Wichita were she gained four bonus children. She spent her life being a dedicated nurse.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister; Wilma Howell, son; Jesse Erik David Mercer. Survivors include her husband; David C. Mercer, children; Rachelle (Danny) Slates of Wichita, Leah (Jeff) Ellis of Kingman, KS, Frank (Amy) Maggard of Prattville, AL, Deidra (Rich) Rattay of Mason City, IA, Joni (Chris) Knapp of Udall, KS, Yvonne Mercer of Preston, KS, brother; Jimmy (Patsy) Carver of Newkirk, OK, brother-in-law Kenneth Howell of Wichita; 19 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and many extended family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday 12, 2022 at 47th Avenue Church of Christ, 601 W. 47th St. S., Wichita, KS 67217. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the 47th Avenue Church of Christ or Kansas Honor Flight, P.O. Box 2371, Hutchinson, KS 67504.
