Mike’s family would like to sincerely thank all those who loved Mike and walked with him in his life’s journey, a journey that was difficult in these last few years. We know through the stories he shared with us how much each of you impacted him and cared about him, and for that we are truly grateful.
Michael Alan Trudell, 52, passed from this life into eternity on Sunday, December 16th, 2018. A casual memorial service will be held at 10am on Saturday, January 05, 2019 at Hillside Funeral Home West Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Beauties and Beasts Animal Rescue in honor of Mike’s love of animals, especially his beloved dogs Blondie and Grizz. Mike was born August 15th, 1966 at Reese Air Force Base in Lubbock Texas, where his father Tim and mother Sandra (Poore) Trudell were stationed. The family always joked that hearing all the airplane engines of Reese Air Force Base Pilot training program while Mom was pregnant with him was what spurred his lifelong love of airplanes. Mike grew up in Wichita, Kansas and graduated from Wichita South High in 1985. His love of airplanes continued as he was employed at Cessna Aviation and enjoyed flying remote control airplanes in his free time. We will dearly miss his wit and his passion for learning and sharing what his latest discovery of the universe was. He was preceded in death by his brother David and brother Steve. Those left to mourn his loss include his parents, brother Dan (Anagina), sister Rachelle (Richard) Ranzau, cherished Aunt Connie Verwys, cousin/friend Chris (Trang) Black, 3 nieces, 4 nephews, family, and friends.
