Austin, James “Mervin”, 78, retired Utility Contractor employee of 23 years, loved dogs, camping, boating, and displayed a lifelong interest in trucking beginning at the age of ten, passed away Sept. 27, 2013. Preceded by parents, Arthur and Allie Austin, first wife, Betty J. Austin, brothers Edward and Charlie Austin, sister, Mary Williams, and great-granddaughter, Kayla Mitchell. Survivors include wife: Carolyn Austin; sons: John and Terry Arnce: daughters: Donna Mullin and Donella Arnce; step-daughter: Donna Schratz; brother: Larry Austin; sisters: Dorothy Martin, Evelyn Darby, and Lynda Southall; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held Wed. Oct. 2nd, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Resthaven Mortuary Chapel with visitation 1 hour prior to service. Memorials may be made to Salem Missionary Baptist Church 352 N.
