Maxine was born on August 11, 1934, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was lovingly adopted by Justin and Donna Stewart and spent her childhood in Kingman and Murdoch, Kansas. She married Fred Hein, with whom she shared many wonderful years until his passing.
Maxine is survived by her two daughters, Brenda Walters and Julie Westlake, her daughter-in-law Stella Bickhard, and her beloved grandchildren, Johnny Hein and Ashi Londeree. She also leaves behind four great-grandchildren, Kyle Herrin, Wren Londeree, Jack Londeree, and Londynn Hein.
Maxine had a fulfilling career at Martin, Cooper, and Fridell, Attorneys at Law, where she worked for 25 years. Outside of her professional life, Maxine was an avid reader and a talented quilter. She lovingly crafted beautiful, handmade quilts that are treasured by her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her adoptive parents, Donna and Justin Stewart, her loving husband, Fred Hein, and her beloved son, Mark Hein.
Maxine's legacy of love, kindness, and craftsmanship will continue to inspire and comfort those who knew her. Her family finds solace in the countless memories and beautiful quilts she leaves behind.
Final resting place is Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 W. Hwy 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.
