Margie Sue Hampton

Margie was one of four children born on 03/01/1938 in Pittsburg Kansas to Frank and Hazel Macheers.

Margie graduated from Pittsburg State University where she met her husband Hal and received a degree in education and then proceeded to earn a master’s in education.

Margie was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, teacher, tutor, and mentor to numerous students and staff. Residences in support of teaching in Seventh day Adventist Christian schools alongside her husband Hal included Tucumcari New Mexico. Bakersfield California, San Pasqual California, Denver Colorado, Gaston Oregon, Loveland Colorado, San Dimas California, Highland California and most recently Newton Kansas.

Margie and Hal have 2 children Kip Hampton and spouse Michelle Hampton and Cerise Hampton- Bender and spouse Kevin Bender. 4 grandchildren Reagan Bender, Brandi Vianos-Meyers, Amber Douglass and Christian Vianos, and 6 great grandchildren.

Margie was preceded in death by her husband Hal her parents her brother Frank Macheers and her Sisters Bessie Kimmel-Robertson and Julia Ahrens.

She will be remembered by the many students that she taught and mentored for over 35 years as well as her numerous friends and family.

A life well lived.
