Allen will be truly missed. He was one of a kind and irreplaceable. We can only have peace in knowing that he is not sick anymore and he is in a better place reunited with his mom and dad and countless family and friends.
He began his working career at Boeing Aircraft at the age of 18 right out of high school. Allen earned his bachelor’s degree from Wichita State University (WU). He was the first tooling manager to receive a college degree. He retired after 34 years of successful service to the Boeing company in Wichita, KS.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Mamie (Carver) Staats.
Allen is survived by his wife Cheryl Staats; his daughters Shannan McFarlane (Michael); and Stephanie Staats; Brother Craig Staats (Nancy); and sister Cheryle Olson (David); Grandchildren Nick Smith (Amber); Hannah McFarlane; Rebecca McFarlane; and Kaylee Rosenhagen; Great-granddaughter Lorielle Smith; and great-grandson Lincoln Smith; Nieces Natalie Moyer, Whitney Staats, and Courtney Domoney; and nephew Zachary Staats.
He is also survived by a number of foreign exchange students from around the world, whom he and Cheryl hosted through the years.
Allen had many interests; golfing, hunting and fishing, bowling, drag-racing, and woodworking to name a few.
He tolerated the many animals that were brought to their house by his wife and daughters.

Services will be held June 10, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Resthaven Mortuary & Gardens of Memory, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209. Celebration of Life will follow the service at Estancia Neighborhood Clubhouse, 3999 N. Solano, Wichita, Ks. 67205.
