After a long battle with breast cancer, Leslie Jean Kaser, age 67, died with dignity and grace on January 26, 2022 in her home in Wichita, Kansas. She is survived by her husband Jim Legg and her son Ryan Kaser and she was preceded by her parents, Les and Kay Hatfield. Leslie had many wonderful friends and family in her support network and all will miss her greatly. Her Wichita family includes her brother and sister-in-law Warren and Christie Hatfield, her brother Bruce Hatfield, and her Mother-in-law Mary Frances Legg, and her St. Louis family includes her sister-in-law Linda Legg. Leslie was also preceded in death by Linda's late husband, Larry Crahan, who was Leslie's favorite brother-in-law.
Leslie retired from the office at Heartland Cardiology as a medical billing specialist. Her former colleagues loved her positive attitude, problem solving abilities, and her friendship. Leslie will be remembered for her warm personality, her strength and positive attitude in the face of adversity, and her love of domestic and international traveling with family. She was happiest when surrounded by gatherings of friends and family, and her cat Callie with whom she had a special bond. Leslie loved laughter and good stories, and proudly cheering for victories by her favorite teams-the Wichita State Shockers and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Leslie and Jim appreciated the care provided by her doctors and nurses, and the hospice care nurses. Pursuant to her wishes, Leslie requested to be cremated. A celebration of life memorial will be held at a later time.
