LeRoy Albert Reiss, 83, of Wichita, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 12, 2024. He was born December 26, 1940 in Newton, Kansas to Albert and Lorena (Unruh) Reiss and was a graduate of Valley Center High School.
LeRoy served time in the United States Navy, worked in construction for many years and retired with the United States Postal Service. He was also a member at Central Community Church.
LeRoy was preceded in death by his wife, Janet (Pearson) Reiss. He is survived by his two daughters, Gina Carter and Tara (Mark) Hinsen; four grandchildren, Chanel Carter, Nicole (Wyatt) Carter-Rowe, Aaron (Alicia) Hinsen and Keri (Jeremy) Thorpe; and two great-grandchildren, Adam Baker and Raegan Hinsen.
A Celebration of Life Service for LeRoy will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, October 19th, with visitation one hour prior, at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 East 13th Street North, Wichita, Kansas 67206.
