Sanders, Julie Ann “Jules”, 66, beloved sister, aunt and friend, of Wichita, passed away on the 17th of May 2015. She was born to James and LaDonna (Ober) Sanders on the 29th of March, 1949, in Los Angeles. Julie graduated from Wichita Southeast High School in 1966, then spent several years touring the country with “Up With People.” In 1991, Julie graduated from Wichita State University with a degree in Women’s Studies. She then moved to Cincinnati, OH, where she attended Cincinnati University while working on her Master’s Degree in social work. She worked as a Supervisor in Histology/Cytology at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Cincinnati. Passions included the Wichita State Shockers, working for the American Red Cross Disaster Relief and volunteering at her church in Cincinnati. After 20-plus years, Julie came home to Wichita in November 2012. Julie was a loving friend to all who knew her and she will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her loving companion, Diana Weakley, brother, James C. (Marion) Sanders, nieces, Rene’ White (T.J.), Christy Sanders, grand nephew, Logan White and beloved pet Trixi. Memorial services are to be conducted 2pm on Tuesday, the 26th of May, at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita. The Rite of Committal is to follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Wichita. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established in her name and loving memory to the PALS Animal Rescue, Inc., P.O. Box 47342, Wichita, KS 67201, or Lifeline Animal Placement & Protection, 310 W. 45th St. N., Wichita, Kansas, 67204.
