Julie K. Cook, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022 at the age of 59 years old. She was born August 26, 1962 to Newt and Diane (Parkhurst) Ward in Wichita, Kansas. Julie was a loving wife, mother, daughter,
grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed.
Julie graduated from Goddard High School in 1980. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of
Andale. Known as “JuJu” to her grandkids, she enjoyed spending time with them and spoiling them. Julie loved swimming and playing ball with her dog Izzie, and traveling to Oklahoma with her best friends, Danita & Stefanie, going to bingo and slot tournaments. On November 11, 1989 she married, Randell Brent Cook of Hutchinson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Newt Ward; grandparents, Ben & Dorthy Parkhurst and Westley &
Marie Ward; nephews, Conner Ward and Hayden Cook; brother-in-law, Darran Cook; father-in-law, Richard
Cook; and mother-in-law, Valaria Cook.
Julie is survived by her husband, Randell Cook; son, Jake (Angela) Cook of Andale; daughter, Amanda (Shane Gorges) Roark of Andale; mother, Diane Ward of Goddard; grandchildren, Emmarie Cook, Noah Roark, Chase Cook and Jacob Cook; and her dog, Izzie.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Tuesday, January 18th with family present, at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.
Rosary will be held 9:30 am, Wednesday, January 19th, with Mass of Christian Burial following at 10:00 am,
both at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 318 Rush Avenue, Andale, Kansas 67001. Interment will take place
after the service at Saint Joseph Cemetery in Andale.
