Joyce Elaine Kent

For over 33 years, she worked as a secretary for USD 259 before retiring. Joyce had a wide range of interests, including sewing, cross-stitching, crafting, painting, solving puzzles, fishing, and reading. Among her many hobbies, she was especially passionate about cake baking and decorating, taking great pride in her creations.

Joyce was a dedicated member of the Embroiders Guild of America and cherished attending church, both in person and online.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Brother Raymond “Sonny” Kent, and an infant sibling. She is survived by her Son Joey (Amber) Lang, Step-Sons Rick (Amy) Grube, and Corey (Kristy) Grube, Sister Sharon Hesske, 12 Grandchildren, 3 Great-Grandchildren, and many Nieces and Nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will take place on Monday, July 22, 2024, at 11 AM at the First United Methodist Church, located at 330 N. Broadway Ave., Wichita, KS 67202. Following will be a burial at Piedmont Cemetery at 2 PM, located at Old State Hwy 496, Piedmont, KS 67122.
