Dies, Jim Dee, 79, retired truck driver passed away July 20, 2017. Jim loved to travel having been to all 50 states, especially his favorite, Hawaii. He enjoyed driving his motor home and boat, going out to eat at Village Inn, and going to the Kansas Star casino. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, a volunteer Sheriff's Officer, and a West Acres senior bowler. Jim was preceded by parents, Rhinehart and Esther Dies; sister, Nancy McCrury; and brother-in-law, Jim Campbell. He is survived by wife of 58 years, Kay Dies; son Melvin Dies; daughter, Vicki (Jeff) Winchell; mother-in-law, Madeline Johnson; brother, Larry (Norma) Dies; brother-in-law, Dan E. Campbell; grandchildren, Angela (Chris) Heisler and Steve Winchell; and great grandchildren, Layla Heisler and Nissana and Faith Winchell. The public is welcome to view from 1p.m. Saturday - Tuesday with Funeral Service 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Resthaven Mortuary Chapel.
